After School Program
Our programs are designed to enhance a student’s academic success, lower the high school drop out rate and provide a safe space during the most critical after school hours. Our intent is to move high school students on to college. The intention of these after school programs is to offer at risk youth a warm, inviting and safe space for students to spend time during the most critical after school hours.
Tutoring
The tutoring program is staffed by college students who enhance the school day by concentrating on subject areas where the student may be struggling. The tutors, who specialize in English, Math and Science, are from DePaul, North Park and Northeastern Universities. Homework Clinic
Homework Clinic is designed for students who need help completing homework. Students come to NE after school and work one on one with volunteers. Their volunteers are local high school students who are involved with the National Honor Society, community members and local college students. Sports
Our full court basketball gym serves as a drop in center for students who want to get involved in competitive sports. As part of our sports program we offer tournaments and clinics to assist in helping these students grow in their respective sports.
